December 28, 1949 to December 3, 2018

Ronald E. Brown, “Ron”, of Murfreesboro, died in his home surrounded by his wife and children, after a long fight with pancreatic cancer.

Ron was born in Nashville to the late Earl & June Brown. Ron loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to work with his hands in all manner of projects from cars to woodworking, especially with his best friend and brother-in-law, Jerry. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired after working 30 years for Shoney’s/COI Inc. Food Distribution.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jean Hardy Brown; children, Erin Lamb (Brian) of Whitehouse, Christopher Brown (Cheryl) of Madison, AL, and Jonathan Brown (Lindsay) of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Wesley & Aislyn Lamb, Ava Brown, Nathaniel & Aliya Brown; sisters Sharon McGee (James) and Elizabeth Kornegay (Jerry) of Nashville.

A celebration of life will be Friday from 1:30 to 4:00 pm and 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Crievewood Baptist Church at the CRC Fireside Room, 480 Hogan Road, Nashville, TN 37220. The family requests no flowers, and, if desired, memory donations be made to Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN.
